2008
What started with just a few people working out of Chicago soon grew as various bloggers on the site were picked up from all over the globe. The year also saw the Search for the Nostalgia Chick contest, the Best of Blogs contest, the first podcast on the site and new shows by ThatGuyWithTheGlasses himself. Video game and Comic reviews were also added by year's end.

2009
Channel Awesome in 2009 had the family of contributors expand even more than the previous year as The Game Heroes and Team Four Star joined the ranks. In addition, more talent was brought in as the site's audience grew larger and larger. The site took in talent from YouTube and other places on the Internet as it continued to take the web by storm.
