Mike Ellis was the Chief Organizational Officer (COO) of Channel Awesome, and was the one of three men, behind the scenes of ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com. He joined up with the company in its early stages after talking to Bhargav Dronamraju and Mike Michaud about possibly making a vast network of websites that would eventually become known as Channel Awesome.
He, Bhargav and Michaud all shared the executive duties regarding the site. The idea for it strangely enough came from a chance talk in the store, "Circuit City". His duties have been to oversee the company's day to day activities while the others on the staff tend to other tasks at hand. He was released from the company in August, 2010.
