"Top 10 Fan Films" is an episode of The Blockbuster Buster, written by and starring the Blockbuster Buster (ERod). It was published to TGWTG.com on Sunday, 07 July 2013 17:49.

ConceptEdit

The episode begins with ERod watching the Street Fighter movie and criticizing its lack of any attempt to remain faithful to the source material. Commenting that he has seen fan films with better quality, he decides to present a list of the top 10 fan films.

CriteriaEdit

Before producing this episode, ERod asked his fans to submit fan films for him to evaluate. He received over 50 submissions. He used the following criteria to decide whether a film deserved to be in the top 10 list:

  1. The film had to grab his attention within the first 5 minutes.
  2. The film had to be good quality.
  3. The film had to tell (or try to tell) a story, rather than being a trailer for a longer work.
  4. The film had to capture the spirit of whatever it was trying to adapt.

Five items on the list were chosen by ERod, and the other five chosen by his fans.
